About Doctor

Orthopaedic, Traumatology & Joint Replacement

Dr. Simon has worked extensively with Dr. Dimitri since March 2022 (Dr. Dimitri sadly passed away recently).

Tasakhtaa Hospital is like a second home to me – when I graduated my first job was this hospital although I have worked elsewhere in IMTU in Tanzania and in Alexander University in Egypt.

Tasakhtaa Hospital is well equipped – everything you need for Orthopaedic work; like the C-ARM equipment we have. A C-Arm machine is as an advanced medical imaging device that essentially works on the basic premise of the X-ray technology.

My passion is to see my patients leave my care with a far better quality of life than when they first saw me.

Doctor Experience

I treat about 25-30 patients per day.  The most common ailments I see are ligament strains and injuries, osteoarthritis and lower back pain.  We also work with Femoral neck fracture and back injuries to correlate interpeduncular distance (IPD) with radiographic parameters.

Some surgical procedures can be 6-8 hours long – as in an acetabulum fracture – very technical – high energy injuries (like in water sports). An acetabular fracture is a break in your acetabulum. Your acetabulum is the socket part of the hip joint. Acetabular fracture types are classified by pattern and severity. Acetabular fractures are painful injuries that usually require surgery.
